I recently stayed at Faja dos Padres in Madeira for a week and it was absolutely amazing. The highlight of my stay was the unique access via a cable car, providing breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding nature. The property itself is a haven of tranquility, surrounded by banana and mango trees, a vineyard, and beautiful flowers. The restaurant overlooking the sea had delicious fresh produce, and the organic farm tour was a fascinating experience. The location is strategic, allowing easy access to different parts of the island. The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. If you love nature, this is the perfect place for you!
I can highly recommend this hotel.

The location is absolutely breathtaking, situated between the warm ocean and high rocks. The cable car ride is a must-do experience. The breakfasts are delicious, especially the fresh mango juice and fruit. The renovated houses offer comfort and fantastic views of the ocean. The restaurant serves simple yet tasty cuisine, with some of the food grown in the nearby gardens. The staff in the restaurant are friendly and welcoming.
The only downside was the rather unfriendly welcome and check out from two different people. It's a pity as the people make the place, and the first impression is important.

The location of this hotel is breathtaking, with stunning views of the ocean. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure that we had everything we needed during our stay.
The restaurant had limited hours and closed early, which was inconvenient for those who wanted to enjoy a nice evening meal. Additionally, the breakfast options were limited and became repetitive after a few days.

I absolutely loved the charming decor of the hotel, with its natural tones and wooden furniture. It gave the place such a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for senior people looking for a peaceful getaway. The general areas of the hotel, like the terrace and the garden, offered stunning views of the water and surrounding cliffs. It was such a delight to sit and relax while admiring the beauty of nature. Additionally, I really appreciated the accessibility of the hotel for senior people. The cable car ride down to the property may have been a bit adventurous, but it was well-managed by the friendly staff and made the whole experience even more memorable.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be for the children working there to be a bit more attentive to the needs of older guests. A little extra assistance or consideration would go a long way in creating a truly exceptional experience.

Beautifully renovated houses with stunning ocean views. Access via private cable car running from 9 am to 8 pm. Enjoy delicious cuisine made with fresh ingredients from the nearby gardens. Friendly staff at the restaurant, except for one person who seemed a bit arrogant.

The exclusive access through the cliff lift made us feel like royalty. And let me tell you, the view from up there was insane! We also had a blast at the children's playground, even though we're technically not kids anymore. It was so much fun, and the perfect spot to let loose and forget about the world.
The one thing we wished for was a bit more nightlife options for us party-loving youngsters. Don't get me wrong, the place is amazing, but after a day of adventure and exploring, we were craving some late-night fun.

The peace and tranquility I experienced there was beyond compare. The unique and unspoilt location provided a truly unforgettable experience. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, making me feel special and very at home. The outstanding setting overlooking the Atlantic Ocean took my breath away. The quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent, and the organic fruit and vegetables from the farm were delicious. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as a bathroom and bed that could use some updating and a limited breakfast selection, I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem. I had a wonderful time and would definitely return in the future.
